Our Testing Methodology

We wash test blankets 5 times on a gentle cycle and evaluate fabric softness, pilling, and whether heated wires remain functional after repeated washing.
Safety Features
We verify auto shutoff timing, test the overheat protection by folding the blanket on itself under load, and confirm ETL certification on the product label vs. listing claims.
Customer Feedback Analysis
For each model we analyze 200+ Amazon reviews, categorizing by theme: heat performance, durability, cord quality, controller usability, and smell. We weight 1-star reviews by specificity — vague complaints are filtered out.
Scoring Criteria
Products are scored 1–5 on: heat performance, fabric quality, ease of use, safety features, and value for money. Scores are weighted (safety: 25%, heat: 30%, fabric: 20%, usability: 15%, value: 10%).
